“Bedtime” is an elusive term in our house. To me it means, get in bed and go to sleep. To Brennen it means, get in bed and concoct a gazillion ways to avoid going to sleep.
Here is a play by-play of how “bedtime” went last night.
8:28pm – I tell Brennen it is time for bed. He asks for “Super Boy” – twice. I mentally thank him for the arm work out.
8:31pm – Brennen asks to sit on my lap.
8:33pm – I tuck Brennen into his bed, sing 2 songs and disperse kisses.
8:35pm – Brennen asks to kiss the “big phone,” aka my Droid Incredible.
8:38pm – Brennen asks for water.
8:44pm – Brennen asks to kiss the “Poppa computer.” Don’t ask why, he just has a thing for electronics. He not only kisses the computer, but also the mouse, mousepad and power cord.
9:08pm – Brennen is sound asleep!?!? This never happens!
Go figure! I decide to write a blog entry about Brennen’s bedtime stalling and he actually goes to sleep without much of a battle. I have once again been outsmarted by a 3-year-old!
