Every day I see a Jeep like this in the parking lot of my apartment complex.
It doesn’t matter what time of the day it is, that Jeep always seems to be in the same spot . . . taunting me.
I used to have a Jeep Wrangler that looked pretty similar, except mine had a lift kit on it, so I basically had to throw myself into the driver’s seat. I LOVED my Jeep. And lately I’ve really been missing it.
If you have even been an owner of Jeep – more specifically a Wrangler – you will understand where I am coming from. Being a Jeep owner immerses you into a secret sub-culture. If you drive by another Wrangler, you wave. It doesn’t matter if you know the person or not, you just do it. The camaraderie amongst Jeep owners is like no other. There are even get together’s that are geared specifically towards Jeep owners.
I haven’t been to one yet, but I plan to one day. I just gotta become a Jeep owner again!
And if this post leaves you scratching your head about me, I leave you with this.

I’m with ya! David got an older (’95?) Jeep Wrangler a couple yrs ago..had it for about a yr and started having problems. Traded to a different car. Within a yr he was back with another Jeep Wrangler (’99). Love, love, love the Jeeps. So fun in the summer. Can’t imagine being without one now.
We still smile every time we give/get a “jeep wave”. =)
I knew I liked you Heidi!
I had to get rid of my Jeep because it was giving me problems too. But nothing beats a Jeep! =)
I’ve had 2 CJ-7s and a YJ, and loved all 3 of them!!!! Unfortunately the reason that I got rid of them is the Just Empty Every Pocket that goes along with being a Wrangler owner, you are always looking through the catalogs for the next thing you want to buy for your JEEP or else fixing it after going wheeling. However if I ever win the lottery, guess what is going to be sitting out in my Yard – another pre 2008 Jeep – I just don’t like the new plastic front fenders and how much bigger they have gotten. Who know maybe it will be a restored CJ-7, but with an additional heater installed under the dash for up “heah” in Maine.
I know what you mean! Even I looked through the catalogs and it’s not like I was ever going to fix up the Jeep on my own. But yes, just like running they take $$$.
I can TOTALLY see you in a jeep! love it! I feel the same way about my subaru.
That’s the best compliment ever! And I can totally see you in a Subaru!!!
