My fried Kathy who blogs over at Mission I’mPOSSIBLE has started a Happiness Club modeled after the book The Happiness Project. I am a big fan of the book and even thought about doing my own happiness project at one time but never followed through. So of course, I jumped at the opportunity to be part of the club!
The first task of the Happiness Club was for each of us to come up with our own commandments of how we want to live our lives. At first I had trouble coming up with mine and then suddenly I couldn’t stop writing them down. Some of them are quotes I have heard or read that resonate with me and some of them are things I came up with all on my own. Here is the list that I felt best fit the kind of life that I want to lead.
- Be ME
- Choose Happiness
- Don’t over-think / over-analyze
- Let things go
- Love like I’ve never been hurt
- Eat clean, train mean
- Be chaos and clutter free
- Maintain high standards
- More experiences, less stuff
- Play every day
- Focus on what is most important
- Laugh often
- Worry less
- Enjoy the here and now
- Dream without fear, love without limits
- Enjoy the view
- LIVE life
