It’s time for another weekly workout recap!
Sunday – I ran 5 miles on the treadmill in about 49 minutes while watching Iron Man. Normally I don’t watch TV when I am on the treadmill but I needed something to break up the monotony and it did seem to help.
Monday – I “ran” 3.5 miles on the elliptical because all of the treadmills were taken at my apartment complex’s gym. In the past, this change to my planned workout would really bother me and I would probably even drive to Planet Fitness, where I have a membership, so I could get my run in. But I decided to breathe deep and just go with it. I also did some strength training afterwards.
Tuesday – Rest day!
Wednesday – I ran 3.5 miles on the treadmill. All was well except for the side cramp that kept me company for the last half mile of the run.
Thursday – I did an Insanity DVD. Yes, again. Yes, it’s my Thursday routine.
Friday – I did my Pilates DVD, followed by sledding with Little B and then strength training! Eesh! And the hardest workout of all was the sledding. My job evidently was to push him down the hill, walk down the hill to help him and the sled back up the hill and then repeat. It was so fun and I was totally exhausted!
Saturday – Yay for another rest day!

my last week was….not the best.
THIS WEEK WILL ROCK>
right?
@WarriorBetsy Sounds great and whatever you are doing is working. You look fantastic!
I made the best of each moment I had
Great week – Sledding is hard work! I’m happy to say that my teens really aren’t into that anymore. I hate standing around in the snow and trudging up and down the hills. I’d rather run in it any day
It REALLY is! LOL
Great job on your training Betsy! Great job with the elliptical. I’m not fond of the elliptical, but when the treadmill gives me shin splints, the elliptical is my only other option when I need to run indoors.
Sledding sounds SO fun!!! I haven’t done that in years.
Last week my training went well. I didn’t get over 100 miles of training, but I did total 11 1/2 hrs of training for the week. I have to keep reminding myself that it’s not the miles that make you a better athlete it’s the time you spend training that makes you a better athlete.
I hope you’re having a good week!
Thanks Ara! And you had a kick ass week of training. Nice job!
