On Sunday I will be running the Rock CF 5k!
Rock CF is a special race for me for many reasons. Rock CF is a race that benefits Cystic Fibrosis and Little B is a carrier of that disease. We are very fortunate that Little B is only a carrier of this disease as it can be a very debilitating and life shortening disease. Click here to learn more about Cystic Fibrosis. In addition to that, I have been running Rock CF since its conception three years ago and I have always found the course to be very scenic, the race to be extremely well-organized and the post race food and medals to be outstanding!
This year I have an added reason that this race is extra special! Chris will be running his first 5k race at Rock CF! Woot! I am so excited for him and looking forward to experiencing it with him!
So here are my goals for the race!
1. Pace Chris to complete his first 5k! – My number one goal is to get Chris across that finish line! I don’t care about time or technique, all I care about is ensuring that Chris achieves his goal.
2. Have fun! – This is a very close second to goal number one. I want Chris to have fun at his first race and I want us to have fun running together for the first time. Running is after all supposed to be fun, right?
Any advice or well wishes for Chris’s first race? If so leave them in the comments below!
