Last week Little B graduated from preschool!
The school put on a cute little ceremony that started out with the kids singing a couple of songs. After the songs they called each graduate up to receive his / her diploma while showing a picture of the kid as a baby and as they are now on the projector screen. In addition to the picture the screen also showed what the kid wants to be when he / she grows up. I predicted that Little B would either say he wanted to be a firefighter or Spiderman and he said…….a firefighter! I am sure that what he wants to be when he grows up is going to change a gazillion times between now and then but I know whatever it ends up being he will do great at it.
I got a good laugh out of what some of the other kids said that they wanted to be when they grow up. Some of the answers included a princess, a Daddy, an ice cream man, the Green Lantern, a superhero and many many more. Probably the funniest part of the entire ceremony was the laughter that came from the kids each time they saw one of their classmates baby picture. It was like they couldn’t even fathom that their friends could possibly have been babies at one point. It was super funny and their laughter was contagious.
After the ceremony the school had an ice cream sundae bar. Little B doesn’t like ice cream (strange, I know) but he enjoyed some of the toppings especially the gummy bears. I made up for his lack of ice cream eating and ate his share.
It’s hard to believe that we have already reached this milestone. My little boy isn’t that little anymore. It won’t be long before he will be going off to kindergarten. *tear* Until then we plan to celebrate his accomplishment and have an awesome Summer!
