Maybe you have noticed that I have been a bit MIA lately both from my blog and social media as a whole.
So what have I been up to?
Adjusting to a new schedule - Now that B has started kindergarten his Dad and I have altered our arrangements regarding when each of us has B. This means that I primarily have B all week since I am located very close to his school and his Dad has him on the weekends. The new arrangement is good and bad but it is the best possible solution. On the plus side it drastically reduces the amount of time B spends on the expressway being shuttled between each of us. On the down side I really only see B in the evenings after I pick him up and for a short amount of time in the mornings before I drop him off. He also sees his Dad a little less than he did before which is unfortunate.
Because of the new schedule and the new responsibilities that come along with kindergarten….homework and projects (I kid you not!) finding time to squeeze in workouts has left me scratching my head. Really the only days that I can run are on the weekends which leaves me with having to do cross training during the week before work at a ridiculously early hour. So far I have yet to get up a ridiculous o’clock to workout and have instead reset my alarm for the extra hour of sleep. Running only on the weekends means I have to run three days in a row and my knees aren’t very happy about that arrangement. So as you can see, all of this schedule adjusting is still a work in progress.
House Hunting! - Chris and I have been looking for a house for about a month and a half now. It has been a fun, exhausting, frustrating and exciting process. The market is currently a seller’s market which has created a lack of inventory at all price points. We consider it an accomplishment just to have the opportunity to view a house that has been listed for sale. Often times a house goes on the market and gets an offer on it before we can even get our feet in the door to evaluate if it is a good fit for us. We have seen a few houses that we thought might be THE one but for one reason or another turned out not to be after all. We are fortunate to have a really great realtor, so that is a big help. Our realtor happens to be a runner too! Coincidence? I think not! If you are in our market and you are looking for a realtor I highly recommend ours! His name is Mike and you can find him on Twitter by clicking HERE. I met him through my blog and Twitter so it just goes to show, you never know how you will meet someone.
So I think that about sums up what I have going on. Now that it is all down in writing it doesn’t seem like a lot but it really is. However, I am confident that it will all work out for the best! I can’t promise that I will be blogging more or that I will be more active on social media but at least now you know why!
Now I want to hear what you have been up to! Any changes that you have been adjusting to?
Anything new and exciting coming your way? Tell me about it.
