Don’t be alarmed……I do still exist!
As you know Chris and I bought a house and because of which blogging was placed very low on my to do list. Things are starting to settle down a tad and I will eventually get around to blogging about the big move but first I want to introduce you to a new series on my blog that I am starting today! It is an idea that I sort of stole from MizFit (a super awesome and inspirational blogger that you should be following). She has various posts on her blog that I like to refer to as coffee dates. Basically the posts read as if you are sitting down having a cup of coffee with her and just talking about things that friends talk about when they sit down for coffee. I really love the posts and you can check one of them out for yourself by clicking here.
I loved the posts so much that I wanted to do something similar on my blog BUT I don’t like coffee so a coffee date is not something that would happen in my real life. That got me thinking about what I could substitute for the coffee. I mean the date isn’t really about the coffee it is about what conversations take place during that time. And then a light bulb went off! My best conversations with people always happen when I am running. Whether I am running with people I know or even people who I have just met, I always tend to have very open and honest conversations about well, everything! No topic is ever off-limits during a run and everything that is discussed stays on the run.
So without further ado, I would like to invite you on a run date! Ready? Let’s lace up and go!
If we were on a run together I would tell you how much I needed this run. That it has been far too long since I have been out on a run and that I need to get back to being more consistent with my running because it makes me happy and it makes me feel good.
I would tell you that despite how much packing and moving and unpacking sucks….I am so glad that we did it. I love our house. Everything about it. Even all the parts that we haven’t been able to put our touch on yet. It is nice to have something that is just ours. Something that Chris and I started together.
I would also tell you that I hope that we will never have to move again! Lol
I would tell you that I do feel a twinge of guilt about having to move B to another school because the house we moved to is in a different school district. I would tell you that I know that he will adjust fine and that in the end I know that it will all work out but I would admit that I still couldn’t help but feel guilty about it.
Lastly I would tell you how much I enjoyed the run and that I hope we can make it a weekly event!
What would you tell me while we are out on our run date?
