Last night I participated in a Twitter chat hosted by FitFluential and Mizuno Running. The chat was about a very thought-provoking question: What if everybody ran?
Since I am a runner, I understand how life changing becoming a runner can be.
As you may know, I have been a runner on and off since high school. I became more serious about running during the time that my relationship with B’s Dad was becoming unstable. Running provided me with an outlet. It provided me the stability that I was not getting from that relationship. It was my coping mechanism. It was my sanity. And most of all, it showed me just how strong I was.
My story is not unique. There are lots and lots of people who have found what they needed through running. However, there are still lots and lots of people who have not yet discovered what running can do for them.
So what do I think would happen if everybody ran? I think that everybody would realize that they are worthy, that they are strong and that they are capable of so much more than they ever thought possible.
Don’t just take my word for it. Click here to check out the analysis performed by Mizuno Running regarding all the great things that could change just by becoming a runner.
I would love to hear from you!
Are you a runner? How did your life change when you became a runner?
What are your thoughts on Mizuno’s findings?
