How a Spartan Recovers

This post was made possible by Fit Approach and Vega. Thanks to them I received 8 different Vega Bars to try and review on my blog. All opinions are my own!

How awesome is it that I can call myself a Spartan now?! Personally, I love it and I will probably being using it to my advantage for quite some time. (Read: Forever!)

One thing (out of the many) that has really drawn me to the Spartan Races is how they encourage you to embrace the lifestyle, not just do one race and be done. One way to embrace the lifestyle is to eat good food that is good for you!

With that in mind, it was perfect timing that I received all of these Vega Bars just before my first Spartan Race! (In no way is Spartan affiliated with this post or Vega. I just happened to run a Spartan Race and eat Vega Bars.)

Here’ s little info about the bars. They are plant based, non GMO, gluten free and contain nothing artificial! And guess what? They taste great!

They were also the perfect recovery food for after my Spartan Race!

My favorite bar out of all the ones I tried were the Vega Snack Bars. Especially the Dark Chocolate Mixed Nuts & Sea Salt one! It was SO darn good.

I will say that there is one downside to the bars. (Got to keep it real.) Other than the snack bars, the rest of the bars had quite a bit of sugar in them. More than I would normally like. So those bars would be more of a special occasion bar instead of an everyday bar for me.

Overall, I really liked the bars and I would encourage you to try them for yourself!
