Last Friday was B’s last day of Kindergarten!
Both B and I have mixed feelings about it all.
For me, it is hard for me to believe that the school year is already over and that B will be moving on to First Grade in the Fall. I am proud of everything that he has accomplished in the past year and I look forward to having a fun Summer with him.
For B, he is excited to not have to go to school but he isn’t so sure about becoming a First Grader. Luckily he has the whole Summer to adjust to the idea.
With the school year ending and Summer break upon us, both B and I will be adjusting to a new schedule. B will be spending every other week with his Dad this Summer which is something we have never done before. Although it is a very fair arrangement, I am really not looking forward to it. I do not like having to share B and I do not like the idea of going seven days without seeing B. This is the part of being divorced that really sucks. Grrrr.
My plan is to make the most of the time that I have with B and to keep myself extra busy on the weeks that I don’t have him. Here’s to hoping that my plan works!
Speaking of making the most of the time that I have B, we commemorated B’s last day of school by doing a couple of fun things!
We went to Build-A-Bear! B made his very own Spiderman Bear!
And thanks to this blog I came across, I had B fill out a fun post Kindergarten survey. I plan to do this every year with him as I thought it would be fun to see how his answers change!
