It is no secret that Chris and I are opposites. He likes watching TV and movies while I prefer to read books. He’s a good navigator whereas I am awful with directions. I am very patient and he is….not. We are even very opposite in the bedroom. Stay with me, I am not going where you think I am going.
I am talking about sleep!
Chris likes to stay up late and sleep in (well, he sleeps in when he doesn’t have to work). I on the other hand like to be in bed by 9pm, yes 9pm, as I have to get up by 5:15am for work.
When I am getting settled into bed for a restful night of sleep, Chris will sometimes keep me company while watching TV in the bedroom. Personally, if I had it my way there wouldn’t be a TV in our bedroom at all but that is a battle that I am not ever going to win. Chris lulls himself to sleep with the TV on whereas the light and noise from the TV is too much stimulus for me to fall asleep.
The light more than anything is what drives me the most crazy. I like the bedroom to be completely dark. Even the little lights on the DVR will annoy me. Usually I will fluff up the comforter to shield me from the lights of the TV or the electronics but thanks to the folks at Bedtime Bliss, I no longer have to do that!
The Bedtime Bliss sleep mask included not only the mask but also a case and a set of ear plugs. I am personally not interested in the ear plugs because as a Mom I want to be alert for any noises that happen during the night but the mask has been a perfect solution to mine and Chris’s bedroom dilemma. He can watch TV and I can doze off to sleep without distraction. The mask is adjustable which makes for a perfect fit and it is contoured just right for my face. It really does make bedtime blissful!
