In case you are not familiar with Stitch Fix, let me bring you up to speed. Stitch Fix is a monthly subscription service (although you don’t have to get one every month, you pick how often) that sends you clothes and accessories based on a style profile that you fill out. You can keep what you like and send back what you don’t. There is a $20 styling fee but if you keep any of the items, the $20 fee is deducted from the total purchase price of the items you keep. If you keep all 5 of the items from your fix you receive a 25% discount on EVERYTHING. Basically it is like playing dress up as an adult…..and it is both fun and addicting! Every month you can also leave a note for your stylist. So if you have an event that you need some clothes for or if you just have an idea of what kind of pieces you want to add to your wardrobe you can pass that information along!
This month I told my stylist that I would like some clothes to wear for our trip to Disneyland! So let’s take a look at what she picked!
Item #1: Tart Maxine Knit Chevron Jacket
I wasn’t very excited about this jacket when I pulled it out of the box. The print just isn’t me. When I put it on, I did like the fit of it, but I still didn’t like the print.
Item #2: Renee C Macklin Floral Print Blouse
I am not normally a fan of floral printed clothes but I actually liked this print! Everything about the blouse fit wonderfully except for the sleeves. The arm holes at the ends of the sleeves were uncomfortably tight, so as much as I liked the blouse I knew that I wouldn’t wear it because of the arms.
Item #3 Market and Spruce Margerie Stripe & Dot Open Cardigan
I thought that the pattern on this would be perfect for Disneyland. Such a fun print! As luck would have it, it fit well and I liked everything about it!
Item #4: Papermoon Zelda Dolman Knit Top
I found this top to be very figure flattering and I was pleased that it wasn’t flowy like a lot of the tops that I receive from Stitch Fix. This would be great for work or for every day wear.
Item #5: Tart Skye Striped Sweater
I liked everything about this sweater except for the fit at the bottom. It poofed out a little at the bottom instead of staying form-fitting and thus added weight to me that isn’t actually there. I really wanted to keep it but I just couldn’t get past the fit issue.
For this month’s fix I had the same stylist (Diana) as last month and although I only kept two items from this fix, I am still happy with it as I technically would have kept four of the items if the other 2 items didn’t have the fit issues.
