In my March Stitch Fix Review, I mentioned that petites is now an option in the Stitch Fix style profile! You all know how excited I am about this! Stitch Fix recently released a bit more information about their petite options, so I thought I would share the information with you in case you hadn’t already seen it.
So as you can see, the new petite option is best for those who are 5’3″ and under (I’m 5’1.5″ on a good day). Their petite clothing will have shorter sleeves and hems, narrower shoulders, better knee positioning and shorter inseams. Their petite line does not replace their extra small sizing as that will still remain as not everyone who wears xs is a petite. Keep in mind petite sizing is all about inseams, lengths and cuts.
I’ve already updated my style profile indicating that I want petite items, so I am excited to see if I get any in my fix in April.
Stitch Fix has also added maternity clothing as well! Although this does not apply to me, I know there are many Momma’s to be out there that will be excited about it.
If you are interested in either of these new options, just log into your style profile and make the update.
On another note, I recently read this article on Stitch Fix about their computers and how what we write in our style profile and in our notes to our stylists is interpreted by computers. I found it interesting and I hope you do too. In summary, it appears that our notes should be very direct and concise and should be asking for what we want as opposed to what we do not want. Check it out and let me know what you think!
Will you be updating your style profile to ask for petites or maternity items?
Will you be wording your notes differently now after reading the Stitch Fix article?
