Sorry guys, this post is for the ladies as I am not an expert in what guys should wear under their running clothes. And technically I am not an expert in what undergarments women should wear for running either but I know what works for me and I figure why not share? (And no, this in not a sponsored post. It’s just a hey this works for me and it might work for you post.)
I am not actually even sure how I progressed from wearing whatever undergarments I had under my running clothes to wearing Moving Comfort sports bras and underwear to workout in but somehow I did. I suspect I got a recommendation from someone as that is how I discovered most of the products that I currently use for running and for working out.
My first experience with Moving Comfort was their sports bras. I’ve been wearing their Vixen sports bra for many year now and love it. I’m not big chested by any means but I do like the girls to be supported when I am active. The Vixen bra fits great, wicks away moisture and provides the right amount of support without feeling squished or restricted.
I just recently added their Fineform bra to my collection of workout bras. I prefer the Fineform for low impact type workouts like Pilates and strength training although I have used it for running and it wasn’t awful. It just isn’t as supportive as the Vixen bra. It does however, have a great look from the back! I love the strappy details.
At some point after getting my first Moving Comfort sports bra, I decided to try out their workout bikinis and loved them! Their underwear is also moisture wicking and they do not move at all while you have them on. That for me is key as there is nothing worse than my underwear annoying me while I run. I do also have their out-of-sight thong and surprisingly I like those as well. I didn’t think I would want a thong on while I ran or worked out but it turns out that it is also pretty darn comfy. Again like their bikini, the thong is moisture wicking and stays in place.
Now of course, you don’t have to wear Moving Comfort specifically but it is an option if you are looking to change-up what you wear under your workout / running clothes. There are lots of other options out there so I think that most important thing to look for is something that is moisture wicking, stays in place, is comfortable and provides the right amount of support.
What kind of sports bra and underwear do you run / work out in?
Guys if you read to the end of the post, enlighten us on what undergarments you wear!
