It’s hard to believe that Summer has come to an end AND that I am in my second year of Stitch Fixing. Time flies when you are wearing awesome clothes and doing Stitch Fix reviews!
In case you are not familiar with Stitch Fix, let me bring you up to speed. Stitch Fix is a monthly subscription service (although you don’t have to get one every month, you pick how often) that sends you clothes and accessories based on a style profile that you fill out. You can keep what you like and send back what you don’t. There is a $20 styling fee but if you keep any of the items, the $20 fee is deducted from the total purchase price of the item(s) you keep. If you keep all 5 of the items from your fix you receive a 25% discount on EVERYTHING. Basically it is like playing dress up as an adult…..and it is both fun and addicting! To sign up to get a fix of your own, click here to use my referral link!
Every month you can also leave a note for your stylist. So if you have an event that you need some clothes for or if you just have an idea of what kind of pieces you want to add to your wardrobe you can pass that information along!
Item#1: Pixley Montgomery Cross Front Knit Top
I certainly wouldn’t call this top edgy and I don’t normally like wrap style tops because I am smaller on top but I do like the colors of this top and I think the shape is very flattering.
However, the top isn’t interesting enough to convince me that it is worth the price tag plus I really don’t need any more sleeveless tops at this point in the year because let’s face it, winter is coming. (And I am having Game of Thrones withdrawals!)
Cost to Keep: $48.00
Item #2: Pixley Rexford Mesh Neckline Tank
Initially I was torn on this top because olive isn’t a color that I would normally pick out for myself but at the same time it is definitely edgy as I requested. It’s also a sleeveless shirt, which again, isn’t something that I probably should be purchasing in September.
Once I tried it on I am still torn. I actually really love the top on me and I think the olive color will be great for fall. I love the mesh neckline and I even like having my bra show through the mesh. Sure I could have put on a strapless bra but having an exposed bra is all that rage right now, right?! It totally wasn’t that I was too lazy to change my bra. Nah, it was definitely on purpose for the sake of fashion. I am also torn because of the $54.00 price tag. That seems a bit much for a tank top. In September. Shouldn’t tank tops be on clearance? Ok, enough rambling. I do love the top but I need your help. Should I be irrational and keep it or should I side with my reasonable side and send it back? Help a girl out!
Cost to Keep: $54.00

Item #3: Iner Kahla Tie-Neck Blouse
I have a confession to make…..when I get my Stitch Fix shipment notification, I peek to see what I am getting. Every single time. I just can’t help it. So when I saw I was getting this top I wasn’t sure I would like it.
I love the cobalt color but the style of the top isn’t really me. I find the tie at the neck to be a bit too fussy for my liking. It would certainly be cute on someone else just not me. Plus again, it is sleeveless and we all know where I am going with this sentence right?
Cost to Keep: $44.00
Item #4: Mavi Altura Button Down Top
If you read the note from my stylist Diana then you already know that the Skies Are Blue Sailor Button Down top was not available so she sent me this top instead. And I totally understand why she sent it, as it is very similar.
I really really really wanted to like this top (I love Mavi clothing normally) and I do but just not the black. If it was in any other color, it would have been a keeper. Instead, I am going to send it back and request either the Sailor Button Down (hey it doesn’t hurt to keep trying) or this shirt in a different color next month.
Cost to Keep: $58.00
Item #5: Urban Expressions Jak Zipper Detail Tote
My stylist is the best! I asked for this tote and she sent it. And I am simply in love. With her and the tote.
Also, I decided to style the Mavi shirt differently to try to talk myself into keeping it. I do like this look better than the look above but I still would prefer the shirt to be a different color than black so I am sticking with my decision of sending it back.
But back to the tote. It’s obviously a keeper!
Cost to Keep: $68.00
Overall this wasn’t exactly the edgy fix I was looking for. Although I can’t blame Diana too much as my style hasn’t always leaned edgy. It has just been something I have recently been interested in so I am confident that with time she will adapt to my new style and send me some great edgy items to spice up my wardrobe.
I am however very happy that she sent me the tote! It’s great!! I do love the mesh tank but I still need your help deciding if I am going to keep it. And the Mavi top was very close to the Skies Are Blue top I was hoping for.
On another note, did you notice my hair? I just got it colored and I am LOVING it! It is a golden rule that women should change their hair and get a new bag every season right? Or is that just my rule? lol
