Christmas came early for me this year! Hands down, I think this month is my most favorite fix ever. Sure, I’ve said that before but when they keep getting better, what’s a girl to do?
In case you are not familiar with Stitch Fix, let me bring you up to speed. Stitch Fix is a monthly subscription service (although you don’t have to get one every month, you pick how often) that sends you clothes, accessories and SHOES based on a style profile that you fill out. (There is also a men’s version now!) You can keep what you like and send back what you don’t. There is a $20 styling fee but if you keep any of the items, the $20 fee is deducted from the total purchase price of the item(s) you keep. If you keep all 5 of the items from your fix you receive a 25% discount on EVERYTHING. Basically it is like playing dress up as an adult…..and it is both fun and addicting! Every month you can also leave a note for your stylist. So if you have an event that you need some clothes for or if you just have an idea of what kind of pieces you want to add to your wardrobe you can pass that information along!
I’ve had a new stylist for the last couple of months (by my request) and she really seems to get me! This month I asked for business casual items that I could wear to work as well as a specific cardigan that I pinned and a cute winter coat. Let’s see what Britt sent me for my last fix of the year.
Item #1 Just Black Adorra Skinny Jean
When I am not at work I live in jeans. (And my new Toms.) I do have jeans day every Friday, although skinny jeans aren’t exactly office friendly. With that being said, I LOVE these jeans. I am a big fan of Just Black jeans. They fit like a glove.
I really didn’t want to take them off. And I didn’t the entire time I tried on the items from this fix.
I did get a similar pair in my February fix but they are bootcut. I wear them all the time. So do I really need a skinny pair? I’m torn! Not to mention you can get Just Black jeans on Amazon for a lot less money. On Amazon they are called Just USA. Click here to see a similar style in multiple colors for half the SF price.
Cost to Keep: $88.00
Item #2: Daniel Rainn Bevvy Crochet Detail Floral Knit Top
I kept the Just Black jeans on to try on this cute Daniel Rainn floral top and I added my Franco Sarto booties. It all makes such a cute outfit. (My bracelet is from RocksBox, you can try it for free just use code BETSYBFF3.)
The top is definitely me! It’s feminine and a little boho. It has some great detailing with the cut out in the back and the crochet trim. The colors also go great with my new red hair too!
My only hesitation is price. Is the shirt worth $68.00 or coud I find something similar for less?
Cost to Keep: $68.00
Item #3: RD Style Warren Airy Knit Cocoon Cardigan
You guys! THIS is the cardigan that I asked for and Britt delivered. She recommended that I pair it with the Daniel Rainn top and the Just Black skinnies for a boho-chic look. I think I am in love!
This is a definite keep for me. I can easily see this cardi becoming my staple winter item. I live in Michigan and it is COLD! Check out this similar one on Amazon.
Cost to Keep: $58.00
Item #4: Market & Spruce Betti Shawl Collar Pullover Sweater
This is another great sweater perfect for the months ahead. I love the slight high-low hem as well as the shawl collar. It’s another chic look that I can see myself wearing often.
Cost to Keep: $78.00
Item #5: Andrew Marc Egersund Puffer Coat
This coat is so cute and definitely my style. It is also super warm, making it perfect for those of us who endure cold and snowy winters. I already have a similar looking puffer coat that is blue so it doesn’t make much sense for me to keep this black one. And although this is another Stitch Fix exclusive, Amazon has this Andrew Marc puffer that is very similar and it is a fraction of the cost.
Cost to Keep: $118.00
It has taken every ounce of restraint not to keep this entire fix. But to stay budget conscious (it’s Christmas and Chris and I are getting married in April) I chose to just keep the cocoon cardi. I love it and I’ve been requesting it and now its mine!
If you are still finishing up your holiday shopping don’t forget that Stitch Fix has gift cards! They make a perfect gift for the special fashionista in your life (or for yourself).
