I am excited that my partnership with Goldfish Swim School will be continuing into 2017. In the short amount of time that B has been taking swim classes at their Macomb location, Goldfish Swim School has quickly become a favorite weekly activity of ours. I encourage you to look into Goldfish Swim School for your family as well as it is truly a gift that will last a lifetime.
To give you an idea of what Goldfish Swim School is all about, I thought I would take you on a virtual tour of sorts.
You may already know that Goldfish Swim School is a facility that offers swim classes to those as young as 4 months of age all the way up to 12 years old. But did you know that the first Goldfish Swim School location opened in Birmingham Michigan in 2006? There are now many locations in Michigan as well as throughout the United States. Now that you have a little bit of background about Goldfish, let’s step inside. As soon as you walk into Goldfish Swim School you will quickly realize that they have thought of EVERYTHING! Seriously. Let me show you.
The first thing you will notice is that everything is bright, clean and inviting. Everywhere you look just screams FUN!
There are plenty of chairs to make yourself comfortable while the class is going on and there is play area for the little ones to entertain themselves while waiting for their class to start or while waiting for their brother or sister to finish their class. B loves to visit the fish and turtle they have at the Macomb location.
Next to the welcome desk is the Treasure Island Pro Shop. Just in case you forgot to bring any necessities with you.
There is a long stretch of changing rooms ensuring you and your child will never have to wait to get changed before or after class. There are also several bathrooms nearby as well.
While B is in class I connect to their free wi-fi so I can share pictures and videos of our experience on my social media channels. You will see a lot of Goldfish pictures on my Instagram. Let’s connect there shall we?!
The instructors at Goldfish Swim School are great! They are friendly and energetic. They all seem to genuinely enjoy their job and teaching the kids. At the end of each class I get a progress report on how B did from his instructor and B gets a ribbon based on what he learned that day.
After class B hits up the showers located in the rear of the pool area. The showers are stocked with soap but don’t forget to bring your own towel.
After showering B loves to dry his hair and use the machine that wrings out the swimsuits. See, I told you they thought of everything!
On the way out of Goldfish we stop by the reception desk for 25 cents candies and to see what fun activities they have going on that week. Around Thanksgiving they had a tree of thanks. B said he was thankful for me. I love that kid!
Now that you have experienced Goldfish Swim School virtually I am sure you will be inspired to go there in person. Click here to visit the Goldfish Swim School website to get more information and to sign up for classes. We look forward to seeing you there!
