Detroit. It’s the city I call home. It’s the city many people refer to as the Motor City and the birthplace of Motown. A city that’s picked itself up by the boot straps to make its own comeback and to earn back some of what Aretha Franklin sang about….. a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T.
Detroit is also home of the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), which is where I spent some time at earlier this week thanks to a blogger event hosted by She Buys Cars. While at NAIAS I found myself at the Genesis booth listening to an executive from the company talking about the focus of their brand: RESPECT.
That word and their following statements made this Detroit girl pause and smile. This new car company gets it. All we (consumers) want from car companies and any company or person for that matter, is a little respect.
Genesis is a new brand of luxury automobiles. Once an extension of Hyundia, Genesis branched off and became its own brand. Genesis prides itself on providing its customers with mindful innovation, advanced safety, convenience, connectivity, performance, comfort and of course respect.
“In a world scrambling to put itself first, respect is a breath of fresh luxury. Introducing Genesis, a luxury car experience built around you.”
Don’t you love that video?
I had the opportunity to see several Genesis models when I was at NAIAS. They are stunning inside and out. I think the pictures speak for themselves.
