Chris just got his second Stitch Fix for men shipment! I think he is starting to love the service as much as I do.
Stitch Fix Men works very similar to Stitch Fix for women. All you do is sign up, pick how often you want to receive a fix, fill out your style profile and then sit back and let the stylist do the work. There is a $20 styling fee associated with each shipment but if you keep any of the items in your box, you deduct the $20 fee from the cost of the items that you keep. Once you receive the box, you try on all of the items in the privacy of your home. Keep what you like and send back what you don’t. If you decide to keep all 5 items, you will receive 25% off the total purchase price of the items! To sign up for Stitch Fix for men, click HERE to use my referral link.
Prior to each fix, you can leave a note for your stylist telling him / her what type of items you are wanting or if you have any special events coming up. This time around Chris didn’t leave any notes for his stylist. Eeek! Let’s see how this impacts his fix.
Item #1: Tailor Vintage Decca Stretch Waffle Henley
This is casual and comfy and has Chris’s name all over it. It is exactly the type of shirt that he would pick out for himself and he already a few shirts just like this in his closet. And that is exactly why he doesn’t need this shirt! He is getting quarterly Stitch Fix shipment to change-up his wardrobe not to get more of the same. Chris agreed with me as well so the shirt went back.
Cost to Keep: $69.00
Item #2: Thread & Cloth Nyssa Twill Shirt
When I saw this shirt in his box, I was really excited about it. It is different from what he normally wears and I thought it would look great on him. I wasn’t sure if he would be okay with the color of the shirt though. He tends to wear a lot of dark colors like blue and black so this is a big change!
Luckily once he put the shirt on, even he admitted that it was great.. This was a fabulous pick by his stylist.
Cost to Keep: $48.00
Item #3: Mavi Matt Relaxed Fit Jeans
I got Chris hooked on Mavi jeans due to my love of the women’s line. He was pumped to see these in his fix but because he kept a pair from his most recent Bombfell box, he couldn’t rationalize keeping another pair.
Cost to Keep: $98.00
Item #4: 7 Diamonds Essen Quilted Bomber Jacket
We both liked this jacket and thought it looked good on him. But we ultimately decided to return it due to budget reasons. We are getting married in April and most of our extra funds are going to that goal right now. He did just get a new jacket for Christmas too, so there’s that.
Cost to Keep: $118.00
Item #5: Stance Ridgecrest 200 Needle 2-Pack Socks
I love fun socks and I am always bugging Chris to stop wearing his boring black socks every day. Unfortunately I couldn’t talk him into keeping these but in his defense he has been wearing the socks that he gets in his geek boxes so that is a step in the right direction.
Cost to Keep: $30.00
Overall, I thought Chris got a great fix this time around. Especially since he did not leave any notes for his stylist. I write my stylist a book every month. Haha. Maybe next time I can get him to leave a note.
