The month of love of is wrapping up and I got myself a new Stitch Fix shipment to share with you. Was it love at first sight or was it a let down? You are about to find out!
In case you are not familiar with Stitch Fix, let me bring you up to speed. Stitch Fix is a monthly subscription service (although you don’t have to get one every month, you pick how often) that sends you clothes, accessories and SHOES based on a style profile that you fill out. (There is also a men’s version now! See Chris’ latest review here.) You can keep what you like and send back what you don’t. There is a $20 styling fee but if you keep any of the items, the $20 fee is deducted from the total purchase price of the item(s) you keep. If you keep all 5 of the items from your fix you receive a 25% discount on EVERYTHING. Basically it is like playing dress up as an adult…..and it is both fun and addicting! Every month you can also leave a note for your stylist. So if you have an event that you need some clothes for or if you just have an idea of what kind of pieces you want to add to your wardrobe you can pass that information along!
My stylist is Britt and she and I are made for each other. She has been killing it every single fix she has done for me. This month I asked for a couple of pieces for our Florida trip that is coming up in April in addition to the amazing cold weather items she has been sending me to get through this rough Michigan winter. Yes, I know it has been unseasonably warm in the mitten state, but not Florida warm so I’ve still needed warm pieces. Plus I am always cold! Ready to see what Britt sent?!
Item #1: Renee C Reyna Knit Maxi Dress
I was immediately drawn to the vacation pieces Britt sent me. It’s been so long since I’ve seen bright warm weather clothing! Ahhhhh!
This dress is perfection. Bright colors, a fun pattern and a flattering silhouette. Plus it is a dress which makes outfit planning on vacation simple but chic. All I have to do is put it on with a few accessories and I am done.
Cost to Keep: $78.00
Item #2: RD Style Bryanna Knit Romper
At first when I saw this romper I was disappointed in the color. Black? For vacation? In Florida? After a Michigan winter I want color.
But once I put it on I was in love. Sure I would have prefered it in a brighter color but there is no denying that this romper is fabulous! It is super comfy and I can totally picture myself wearing it on our adventures in Florida. And just like the maxi, there is little planning that has to go into this outfit.
If you love this romper as much as I do, there is a blue version available on Amazon!
Cost to Keep: $68.00
Item #3: Skies Are Blue Graziana Mixed Material Tunic
Okay back to cold weather items. I had mentioned to Britt that I liked mixed material pieces and since she does a great job of listening to my feedback, she sent me this top.
It is a great casual top that would be ideal for lazy days around the house or running errands. I paired it with my favorite pair of Henry & Belle jeans and my new Steve Madden boots (which I love) and all together it makes a super cute outfit.
Ultimately I decided not to keep the top as my focus right now really is on the wedding and the vacation.
Cost to Keep: $58.00
Item #4: Loveappella Evie Draw String Funnel Neck Sweatshirt
If you follow any other Stitch Fix reviewers you will know that this Loveappella top has been very popular for some time so I was pretty excited to get it and to see if all the fuss was warranted.
Turns out all the fuss IS warranted. I love this top. It’s a lightweight material that would make a perfect layering piece for when the sun goes down in Florida. As much as I loved the look, fit and material of the top I was not feeling the color of it. I did ask Britt to try to find me the same top in a bright more vacation like color so fingers crossed that she is able to send me one in my March fix.
Cost to Keep: $64.00
Item #5: Le Lis Alante 3/4 Woven Back Knit Top
Here is another great mixed material top that Britt sent me. I love the floral pattern and the colors. It would make a cute addition to my work clothes wardrobe or to wear on a date night with skinny jeans and heels.
Unfortunately the top seemed a bit too big on me. Especially in the length. So I had to send it back.
Cost to Keep: $54.00
Britt did it again! Another fix that I was absolutely in love with. Next month I am asking for ALL of my fix items to be geared towards our vacation / wedding in Florida. So I absolutely can not wait to see what she picks for me. I am hoping for a pair of sandals and a cute cross body purse!
Speaking of not being able to wait, did you hear that Stitch Fix is finally adding plus sizes? It’s true! It all starts on the 27th of this month and I am so excited that women of all shapes and sizes will be able to enjoy Stitch Fix.
