How did February go by so fast?! I guess time flies when you are reading good books!
Here is how I spent my reading time last month.
(And as always, my links are affiliate links because it is my blog and I can do that.)
This book took me way longer to read than it should have. But I know why. It was packed with facts and history and I tend to read those sort of books a bit slower. That’s just how I am. I persevered though as I really wanted to learn more about the history of single women and how we (women) got to where we are now in the United States. It’s a good read and an important read whether you are a woman or not.
You will only like this book if you enjoy Gilmore Girls because that is pretty much all this book is about. Well, it does cover other things but mostly Gilmore Girls. I happen to LOVE Gilmore Girls and I read the entire book as if Lorelai was talking to me. It was a quick a fun read.
I don’t recall how I stumbled upon this book but I am so glad I did! Wow. It is really good. It is a collection of poems about survival. The book is divided into four sections: the hurting, the loving, the breaking and the healing. I guarantee you will find a piece of yourself in the pages. It was a super quick read for me but I will definitely be reading it again and again.
This is my favorite book of the month! I devoured it. I could not get enough of it. It was such a captivating story I found myself stealing any extra minute I could to read it. It’s a story about the orphan trains that existed between 1854-1929 where an estimated 250,000 orphaned children were placed throughout the United States. The book slowly reveals a story of one of the orphans and her journey will have you on the edge of your seat. You need to read this!
