Fab Find Friday: Jewelry Display

Wow, I haven’t done a Fab Find Friday post in a long time! I guess it’s because I haven’t bought much lately that has been worth sharing….until now! Check this out!

IMAG0071

Don’t you love this? The super organized part of me did a happy dance when it saw this on Etsy. There is a place for every kind of jewelry! Places to hang all types of earrings, hooks for bracelets and necklaces and little shelfs for other miscellaneous items. It is also a very well made shelf that will last a long time and it adds a decorative touch to my bathroom.

But do you know what the best part is? I have room to grow! I have lots and lots of space for more jewelry!

Now I want to know how you store your jewelry! Or have you made any purchases lately that you just can’t stop raving about? I want to hear about those too!

Fab Find Friday: Stacking Rings

Shortly after I separated from my ex-husband I decided I wanted to get a Mothers ring. I thought that it would make a great replacement for my wedding rings and that it would symbolize a new beginning for Little B and I.

Turns out my decision was more complicated than I realized. I had a hard time finding a Mothers ring that I liked. I didn’t want the traditional Mothers ring. I wanted something more modern and well…..more me.

I finally turned to Etsy and found a great little shop called Sheri’s Designs. I was able to customize a set of stacking rings using mine and Little B’s birthstones! Sheri was great to work with and in no time my rings arrived in the mail.

I love, love, love my rings! I can wear all of them at once or just one of them for many different looks. And most importantly they are a reminder of what is most important to me.

What is your favorite piece of jewelry? Have you bought anything off of Etsy? If so were you happy with your purchase?

Fab Find Friday | Fall Boots

I love Summer. The heat, the sun, the longer days, the relaxed way of living, etc etc. I love all of it. Fall is okay but it is the gateway to Winter which I am not a fan of. So perhaps because of that, Fall gets a bad rap with me. There is one thing that makes me feel a little better about Fall though…..

A killer pair of boots, of course!

Aren’t those boots fantastic?! These will definitely help ease the pain of transitioning to cooler weather!

These boots were my first purchase from ShoeDazzle and I am very happy with them! It’s hard to find good quality boots and shoes at reasonable prices but ShoeDazzle definitely delivered! Another great part of ShoeDazzle is that every month I get a showroom of shoes personalized just for me AND they always have awesome specials every month in addition to their already great prices. Click to get your own customized showroom of shoes and more!

Now I want to hear from you! Are you a boots lover? Have you purchased anything from ShoeDazzle?

Fab Find Friday | Ahnu Footwear

On my trip to San Francisco, I did something I have never done before. I packed everything into a carry-on! If you are a woman or know a woman, you know how big of a deal this is! The hardest part for me was deciding what shoes to bring. I of course, needed to bring my running shoes but I also needed another pair of shoes that were cute, stylish and comfy to wear when I wasn’t running.

So what shoes made the cut?

My Ahnu Karma shoes!

Sure they look cute in the box, but wait till you see how cute they look on!

Don’t you just love them?  Without question, they are my favorite pair of non-running shoes! What you can’t see in that pic, is how comfy they are! I am sure you all remember the endless amounts of sight-seeing I did in San Francisco and these shoes did not let me down. I wore them EVERYWHERE and my feet were always happy. The Ahnu Karma shoes are really the perfect pair of travel shoes. I love that I could just slip them on and off at the airport. They made security a breeze!

I also love that they have an antimicrobial treatment in the liner, so going sockless doesn’t mean having smelly shoes. Not to mention, the sole of the Karmas is only 4mm which is another plus for me. Ever since I switched over to a minimalist running shoe, I find that casual shoes that have a large heel drop are uncomfortable to me.

And although the San Fran trip is now a thing of the past, my Ahnu Karmas are definitely an item of the present! They are my go-to commute to work shoe and my go-with-everything casual shoe. I highly recommend that you check them out for yourself or any of the other items that Ahnu offers! You can find Ahnu on Facebook, Twitter and on their own website.

Full Disclosure: I was given a pair of Ahnu Karma shoes to review. However, all opinions are my own and the affection I feel toward them is genuine!

Fab Find Friday: The Orange Headband

Sometimes the best finds of all can’t be bought…….they must be earned!

I know you all are waiting very patiently for me to post my Tough Mudder recap and I promise I will do it very soon!  In the meantime I will leave you with the Tough Mudder pledge I took at the beginning of the race!

And a video to give you a taste of what I did to earn that orange headband!

If that doesn’t make you want to get an orange headband all of your own, I don’t know what will!

Fab Find Friday: My Fav Workout Shirt

Do you remember the reason why I started this series? I think it was because I was feeling like I blogged about running and fitness too often. Let’s pretend that I never said that, ok? Because this post IS running and fitness related! Sometimes I just can’t help myself!

So what is the next best thing to talking about running and working out? Talking about workout clothes, of course! And right now, my favorite workout tops come from a company called ViewSPORT! You may remember that I blogged about ViewSport before. And as much as I liked my first shirt from them, I LOVE their new shirts.

See what I mean! They are super cute, just the right length, have an awesome saying on the front and of course a sweat activated message on the back.

What more is there to say?

I many need to get a second job just to support my ViewSPORT addiction as I currently have my eyes on these two tanks.

Don’t these tanks make you want to go workout? If you don’t have your very own ViewSPORT shirt, you def should. Head on over to their website and tell them I sent you. Maybe I can coerce them into sponsoring me so I don’t have to get a second job! ;) Hey a girl, can wish right?

What workout clothes are you in love with right now?

Fab Find Friday: Jewelry Displays

I definitely consider myself to be an organized person. In fact, clutter makes me feel overwhelmed and a drives me a little crazy. With that being said, I am a little sad to admit that my jewelry box is a bit of a disaster. I spend way too much time untangling necklaces and looking for earrings that match.

From the outside, it seems nice enough.

But on the inside it is a chaotic mess.

In my defense, I think I just do not have the right “tools” to keep all my accessories organized properly. Which is why I have my eye on these!

Too cute, right?

Ahhhh, tangle free necklaces!

Both of these items come from a shop on Etsy called Tammnoony  Jewelry Displays. The items are all handmade and can even be custom designed! I just love the look of them!

I dream of the day that I can have all my jewelry organized and displayed properly (even if most of my jewelry is just the costume variety).

How do you keep your jewelry organized? And what items do you day-dream about finally get organized?

Fab Find Friday: Time for a new Swimsuit!

As I mentioned in my Fit March post, swimsuits are in every store right now! So you know what that means . . . it is time for the dreaded swimsuit shopping. I don’t care what size or shape of a person you are, swimsuit shopping is torturous for everyone! That is why I do mine online! That and it’s easy to look at a bunch of swimsuits in a short amount of time.

So here are the two that I am considering.

The Rio Twist Bandeau Top and Cheeky Hipkini Bottom in shimmer very fuchsia from Victoria’s Secret.

And the Forever Sexy Bandeau Top with Fold-over Low Rise Bottom in blue paisley also from Victoria’s Secret.

I showed these to a couple of friends of mine because I am not sure if I can get away with wearing either of these swimsuits since I don’t look like a Victoria’s Secret supermodel and one of them replied, “You don’t? We have always thought that you do!” Which just reinforced why I love those two girls SO much! ;) But in all seriousness, I am fit but I am not a Victoria’s Secret supermodel. However, thanks to all of the hard work I do, I am probably in the best shape I have ever been in. So . . . . maybe I will take a chance and show it off a little this Summer.

Have you started your swimsuit shopping yet? I want to see what you will be sporting at the beach this year!

Fab Find Friday: Every Girl Needs a Good Purse . . . Or Five!

Recently I started thinking about how a majority of my blog posts are all running or fitness related minus the occasional post about my son or parenting. Now I certainly don’t have any problem with this realization but I thought perhaps it would be fun to do something a little different for a change. Change is good, right??? Besides, believe it or not I AM interested in other things besides working out and gushing about my son! It’s true!!!

Like most women, I enjoy shopping! Thankfully I tend to do more window shopping than actual purchasing (I do have a budget) but that doesn’t deter me from checking things out both online and in the stores. And every now and then I find something that is worth spending my hard earned money on! I will be sharing these finds with you on my new blog series called Fab Find Friday (you all probably know by now that I love having at least one series on my blog at all times!! lol) I hope you will all enjoy reading it as much as I am going to enjoy writing it!

So here is today’s Fab Find!

Photo from QVC

It is a Kathy Van Zeeland purse!

I am not a brand whore by any means. I am just as happy shopping at Kohl’s as I am shopping at Express. However, ever since I found my first KVZ purse over 2 years ago, I have really been drawn to her line. Her handbags and purses just seem like me! They are sophisticated but with a little bit of bling! AND the best part about KVZ purses is that you can own a designer handbag without the designer price tag as it is very common to find her line at TJ Maxx.

I found this particular purse on QVC and no, I am not your typical QVC shopper. In fact, this was my first purchase from QVC ever! I was itching for a new purse and I couldn’t find anything that I liked in the stores, so I turned to the internet and googled KZV purses and discovered that QVC sells a ton of them! I was a little hesitant about ordering a purse online because I am pretty picky about my purse. It has to be a certain size, have an easily accessible spot for my phone and lots of little pockets to put all the little things I carry around. But I fell in love with this purse and took a chance. Luckily I loved it as much in person as I did online. I keeps everything organized and it looks great. Plus it is lined with an awesome purple fabric that gives it a pop of color that you wouldn’t expect! I love little details like that.

Head over to QVC to check out this KVZ purse and many more.  I promise her line will not disappoint you. Every woman deserves a good purse, right?
